Not only is RHB Insurance dedicated to helping our clients with all their insurance needs, but we are dedicated to our community! We are major sponsors for Powhatan’s 4th Fridays, Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape and Blessed Sacrament Huguenot’s Beef & Music Festival.
Each year RHB sponsors one of the Powhatan’s 4th Fridays summer events to help a local charity. In 2011 RHB benefited the American Cancer Society and raised $3,520. In 2010 RHB benefited the Powhatan Free Clinic and inn 2009 we benefited the American Cancer Society through Powhatan’s Relay for Life. Each member of our office worked with volunteers from each charity to host the event. We all had a great time and look forward to next year!
In June 2011 RHB along with a great bunch of friends and family started a Powhatan Relay Team, Friends & Family for a Cure. We were able to raise $21,570.50 in the Fight Against Cancer! We were ranked 2nd among all of the Powhatan Teams in our fundraising efforts. As a team we were really the ones who benefited through the amazing friendships that grew with our teammates!
Ruth Boatwright puts on a Musical Memorial Show every year to honor the Veterans. At the office we collect and copy pictures of any Veteran that would like their picture in the local paper and on display during the Memorial Day Show. Everyone in the office helps with the show by answering questions about the show, collecting new pictures, scanning and copying pictures of the Veterans, hanging pictures and decorating for the show, as well as, going and enjoying the show every year.
